Al
Condeluci, Ph.D.
CEO - UCP of Pittsburgh
Al Condeluci has been an advocate and catalyst for building community capacities
and understanding culture since 1970. Born and raised in the steel town
of Pittsburgh, PA, still making his home there, Al received his Bachelors
Degree in Psychology from Youngstown State University, his Masters in
Social Work and Ph.D. in Education from the University of Pittsburgh.
Since 1973, he has worked as an attendant, caseworker, advocate, planner,
program director and now, CEO of his organization, UCP/CLASS. UCP/CLASS
has created a family of corporations and is dedicated to its mission
- “working towards a community where each belongs.” UCP/CLASS, under
Al’s leadership, has grown to become the 3rd largest disability specific
agency in Western PA (with a new office in Erie PA) with a budget of $32
million and a staff and payroll complement of 700. UCP/CLASS was listed
in the 50 “Best Places to Work” in Allegheny County, PA in 2007. Through
Al’s efforts, UCP/CLASS is “empowering people... building communities.”

Tim Feeney, Ph.D.
Schenectady, New York,
Tim Feeney is the Executive Director of School and Community Supports, Inc. and, for the past ten years, the Project Director of the New York Neurobehavioral Resource Project at STIC, a New York State Department of Health grant-funded program developed to support individuals with brain injury and significant behavioral challenges to live successfully in their home communities. Tim has co-authored over 50 scholarly journal articles and book chapters on brain injury, is co-author of the book Collaborative Brain Injury Intervention: Positive Everyday Routines, and speaks and consults the world over on issues related to supporting individuals with brain injury.
Christi Kasa-Hendrickson

Christi Kasa-Hendrickson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She received here Ph.D. in Teaching and Leadership from Syracuse University in 2002. Christi began her career in education as an elementary school teacher in the publics schools of Southern California. Her primary role was to serve as an inclusion facilitator for students with ignificant disabilities. Although she has left her role as a classroom teacher Christi remains active in schools through research and volunteer activities. Christi's research interests include inclusive schooling, access to academics for students with significant disabilities, and access to meaningful communication. Christi is currently conducting a qualitative research project funded by the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services titled: The Early Childhood Literate Community: Supporting Citizenship for Young Children with Significant Disabilities In addition Christi is a team leader in the Breaking the Barriers project funded by the NLM Family Foundation. Brad Victor, MAT
Sexuality Education Specialist Oregon Department of
Education
Brad Victor taught in Oregon schools for 23 years prior to joining the Oregon Department of Education in 1998. Mr. Victor taught health and physical education at the middle school, high school and university level in the areas of substance abuse, nutrition, sexuality education, fitness, and wellness. For the last 11+ years Mr. Victor has trained teachers and administrators throughout the state in the area of effective educational strategies and Oregon law regarding instruction for sexuality education. Mr. Victor received the Oregon Health Educator of the Year Award (OAHPERD) and the Oregon Indian Education Administrator of the Year Award (OIEA) during 2006. Mr. Victor is currently completing his PhD. in Adult Learning from Oregon State University and was just elected to President-Elect for the Oregon Alliance of Health Education. Mr. Victor serves of the following Boards: Oregon School-based Health Care Network; Oregon Teen Pregnancy Taskforce; and the Oregon State Planning Group.
